Merrry Christmas

Your 2nd Christmas was so much more fun and amazing than last year! You were so much more aware of what was going on and it was alot of fun for you. You loved going for drives around the neighborhood and staring and pointing at all the christmas lights. You would point and say "Wwoowww" You loved the festival of lights even though we could only stay for a few minutes because the weather was so cold!

Every morning when we go downstairs you see the christmas tree and all the decorations and you get so excited and run around shouting "HO,HO,HO" Every time you see anything santa you say "HO,HO,HO" (EXCEPT SANTA HIMSELF OF COURSE) You are terrified of Santa Clause. So much so that we didn't even bother taking you to see him a the mall.

Santa came to daddy's fire fighting Christmas party and you sat on his lap and you "FREAKED" so we didnt want to put you through that for our benefit of a picture so the pic with santa at daddy's christmas party will have to do for this year. LoL

So for Christmas eve we spent most of the day at Grandma Beechers. We had our traditional munchie feast and then we headed for the airport to pick up Nana and Papa! You played a little shy of course but you did smile when you saw them. They spent the night at our house and we woke up Christmas morning around 8:30 to open your presents. I don't think Santa should even bother bringing you Christmas presents because you get SO spoiled by your grandparents!! You got a really cool ridable winnie the pooh train, dinosaurs, clothes, books, all sorts of other toys, a fireman build a bear with a message from Nana and Papa, a desk, growth chart, dinseyland stuff, and so much more!!!

We had to hurry and get to Grandmas by 10:30 so we could open gifts there. You got a really cool train set with a the desk and everything. You got a tigger pillow, books, clothes.....and so much more as well. I guess thats what you get when your the first grandchild :)

It was such a fun christmas and was so nice to have Nana and Papa here to share it with us! Christmas isn't the same without your family around!

22 months

Grayden is 2 months shy of being 2 years old! ....... Wowza!

This is such an exciting month! Christmas is just a few days away, Nana and Papa are coming home for Christmas and Daddy is done work for a LONG while soon!
Grayden this has been such a fun month with you getting ready for christmas.

So whats new with Gray?
Well you have started to say a few more words. You cut a couple teeth this month (and still teething) and you keep getting more and more adorable by the day!
You are such a busy boy these days and you love to make a mess! Oh the messes you make!!!! Breakfast, Lunch, and supper are SO much fun right now! You love to throw your food on the ground for some reason and you DO NOT listen when we tell you NO! You are still a pretty big eater especially when we have your favorite dishes but as soon as you are done or you don't want something........it's on the floor!

You are doing OK with bedtime right now. You are still going to sleep in your own room and you stay there .....most nights. You have been teething really bad and there have been a couple nights where I have woke up with you sleeping on my legs. Your a sneaky little guy :) I've heard you a couple times running down the hall into my room and when you got to my bed you would start laughing because you were so excited to be with me and I couldn't resist turning you away and you would just wrap your little arms around me........so sweet!

You are such a sweet boy Grayden. You have such a soft heart and are so loving! There have been so many times where you just come up to me from out of no where and grab my face and turn it towards yours and give me a kiss on the lips. It's so cute how you just grab my face and turn it around to give me a kiss! The other day daddy was on the couch sleeping and you crawled up to him and gave him a little wet kiss on the lips. That made Daddys day for sure! Not only are you affectionate but you are so caring. You love to be centre of attention and you love to make people laugh.

WE love you so much Gray

Baby #2 Update

So I am 35 weeks and 3 days today! Wow has time flown by. I cannot believe how great I feel this far along. This pregnancy has been a lot different than the last. I thought I had a wonderful pregnancy with Grayden but this one has by far been even better for me. Theres not a whole lot new or exciting to update on with this pregnancy. I started seeing my OB a few weeks ago and it's in airdrie this time versus all the way down Glenmore so that has been nice. The first time I saw her she measured the baby and said that he was a little on the smaller side and that I was in the 25th percentile which was still normal range.

The next time i saw my OB it was a replacement because my doctor was on holidays. When she got to the measuring part she seemed a little concerned of the size. You are supposed to measure out the amount of weeks you are. I was measuring at a 32 when I am a 35. I was still in normal range but she wanted me to have an ultrasound just to make sure everything is okay in there.

So this made me extremely nervous and anxious to have this ultrasound done. I had to wait a few days and finally went in and everything checked out completely normal. I was laying there for at least 45 minutes while she did a thorough check of the baby and she told me that he is a bit on the small size but everything looks great! I WAS SOOO RELIEVED and happy to hear that.

Thats about all thats new with baby! He moves around still so much and NO CHARLIE HORSES......YET!! UGH.... that was the worst part of my entire pregnancy with Grayden was the charlie horses! I am so gratful I haven't had any yet but there have been a couple times where I have felt one about to come on and I can quickly stretch it out or whatever.

Anyway I cant wait to meet this little one. I am getting so excited!!

Sleep is SO good!

You DID it baby boy! We started putting you in your own room on the weekend and without nursing through the night. The first night was ROUGH! We started you out in your car bed but you would just keep running out and when we would come to tuck you back in you would run to your bed and giggle. It was more of a game to you and it felt like we were getting no where! After a couple hours of chasing each other back and forth, you started getting frustrated especially after we started saying nothing to you or giving you any more kisses goodnight. You finally fell asleep in your bed after about 3 hours. You woke up every 2 or 3 and I did end up nursing you once around 4 am but that was it.

The next night we decided to set up the play pen in your room. We figured that sleeping in your own room, and in a new bed and without nursing was to much of a change all at once. Your used to your playpen so we figured we'd try that instead. The second night was a lot easier! It was still rough because it wasn't a game anymore to you and you basicly sat there in your play pen and cried for a couple of hours. We went in and gave you a hug and a kiss every ten minutes but it was the hardest thing Ive had to do in a long long time. If Cody wasn't there to help me out I KNOW I would have given in and brought you into my room but it was what I expected from you and I prepared myself as much as I could but nothing is worse than seeing your baby crying and hurt when it was never his fault to begin with. It makes me tear up just thinking about what was going through your mind. I just had to keep telling myself that it will be so worth it in a few days!!

So that night was your first night of going the entire night without nursing. I always nurse you before bed but it was the first night you went all night without it. You didn't even ask for it. You woke up about 3 times in the night but we just went in and rubbed your back and you went right back to bed.

The third night I was a little panicked because i was going to be by myself but you got the hang of it right away. I nursed you and layed you down and you fell asleep. You didnt get up until 5am and then I rubbed your back and then you didnt get up again until your usual awake time. I was sooooo happy and relieved

Thanks baby boy for getting the hang of it so fast! Its so hard for mommy to hear to cry especially when it's not your fault to begin with :(
I love you

Daddys Graduation

Daddy FINALLY graduated from his fire fighting course NOV 14th! We are so proud of him! He worked so hard and even though he didnt have alot of spare time to study and was away from home a lot he toughed it out and got it done! Your daddy is the hardest working man I know and I could not be more proud of him. He has always wanted to be a fire fighter and now he is officially considered a trained fire fighter! Hopefully after parental leave daddy can get on full time with rocky view or Calgary!

We are so proud of you honey.....your our hero!

21 months!!

Well little man in 3 months you will be 2 years old! I can't believe that......and in less than 2 months you are going to be a big brother!!! Not sure which ones more shocking you being a big brother or you turning two! I can't wait to see you as a big brother :)

This month was the month we were going to get you sleeping in your own room...........BUT........ you started teething again :( You cut your 13th tooth on Nov 7 and you just cut your 14th tooth yesterday. This last week has been exhausting with you waking up almost every hour of the night. I really wanted to start getting you used to sleeping in your own room but with me being alone at night and daddy at work it's much easier for me to have you in the same room. Sometimes you just woke up out of know where balling your eyes out. It was so sad and hard for me to see you in such pain so to calm you down we watched the entire movie of toy story at 3am. Anything to keep you distracted from the pain and it seemed to help.

You should be fine now that they have both officially cut through so we'll try this weekend and see how it goes! I am absolutely DREADING it because I know its going to be a hard transition for you. You still want to nurse a couple times in the night and that just HAS TO STOP. I was thinking this morning what would happen to you if the baby was born tomorrow and you had to stay and Grandmas over night without mommy for the first time. You would be devastated.....were if we did it together you would still know I was there for you and not completely abandoned you! This thought really made me even more determined to get it done and over with quickly before baby's born. I was thinking the other day......I have not been able to sleep through a single night without getting up atleast once or twice in 2 years!!! I can't even remember what a good nights sleep is like! Thats crazy!
I am praying for an easy transition for you AND FOR ME.

the last couple of months you have become such a DADDYS BOY! I mean you are still definitely a mommas boy but you have become so attached to your daddy! It is so adorable to see you together! You love to wrestle with your dad :) and when your upset or tired you love to cuddle up to him and rest your little head on his shoulder. That was always a mommys only thing but its so nice to see with your dad! When daddy gets home from somewhere you shout downstairs "HI DAD" its too cute! You adore your daddy!

You are still nursing 2-3 times a day....once before nap (sometimes after as well) and once before bed. (oh and a couple times through the night....*sigh*) I can't help but giggle every time because you literally put your arm around me and grap me towards you...LoL you are still such a big eater! You've always loved your food. You really enjoy your salad lately! This month you have officially joined us at the supper table. You get your own chair and sit right next to daddy at the dinner table. We finally found a good booster seat and our table finally came in last week!! You look like such a big boy. You hated your highchair and felt like you should be a big boy and sit like everyone else !

you love to play with your friends! You love to hang with the "big kids" and chase each other around screaming :) SCREAMING is another fave of yours right now.....you love to scream when you play. Doesn't matter what your doing but love doing it while you SCREAM ! You love to hide from us behind the curtains or closets and open it quickly and you say "boo" !

You have grown up so much! I can't believe Christmas is around the corner and then your second birthday.......*sigh* time flies but I am so excited for what's ahead!
Love you to bits!

Happy 21 months

Happy halloween

Happy Halloween! Well we just moved into our new house the day before halloween so things have been a little hectic but it was fun to celebrate halloween in our new home! Grayden went around the block to meet all the new neighbors with daddy and then we drove out to Grandma's for a quick visit and that was about all the trick or treating he did.

He made the cutest donald duck EVER!!

20 months old!

Happy 20 month birthday Grayden. This past month has been a busy month for you, you have changed and have become even more of an independent little person.

We are about to move into our new house here soon so we have been really busy around here. Theres not a whole lot new with you this month but you have become very independent and strong willed.
You don't like to be considered or treated like the "baby" of the house. You want to be like and treated like everyone else. When Brody, Makayla, and Jonah are here you REFUSE to be put in your high chair for snack or lunch. You run to the table and grab yourself a chair and sit there like everyone else. Even though your forehead barely reaches the top of the table and you can't see a thing, you still insist in sitting there just like your friends. You get onto your knees so you can eat whats on the table. Usually when you would eat in your high chair I would just give you food right on the tray but whenever you see the kids with bowls or dishes with their food in them you insist on having a bowl or plate too. When the kids aren't around for dinner you don't mind eating in your high chair but when there here you want to be treated like a big kid too......so cute!

You have become really attached to your friends. You play so well with Jonah and he is so good with you too (even though your almost 2 years younger) Its so fun for me to watch you play with them and try to "fit in with the big kids". You are so cute and its so fun to watch.

You are such a big helper! Whenever you see us working on something you try to get in on the action and help any way you can. You watched daddy take apart the computer desk and you found the tool he was using....crawled into the drawer and started sticking the screw driver in the hole just like daddy was......its all "monkey see, monkey do" right now with you.
You watch mommy put on my make up all the time and the other day I saw you get into my make up bag, take out my foundation and grab the sponge. You unscrewed the lid and started sqeezing the make up onto the songe as you wiped it on your face. haha it was so cute.

Brushing your teeth is still a nightmare :( you hate it yet everytime I say "AHHH" to open your mouth you still open nice and wide everytime. Don't get it ...but Im not complaining.....makes things a little easier for me :) You love to grab the tooth paste and put it on your tooth brush all by yourself but thats all you like about it.

We haven't started potty training at all but I think we will be buying a potty here soon and see how you do. Im not in a rush or plan on rushing you with this at all. I don't think you are ready yet so I wont be pushing this but I do want to try and see what happens.

You are still a big eater and love your food. Some days you get picky with your vegetables and pick them out but other days you'll eat them just fine. You are still nursing before nap, after nap, and before bed. For a while there I felt my milk depleting ALOT but I think now that we are getting closer and closer to baby it is picking back up again.

You go to bed on your own but still insist on sleeping with me when you wake up at around 2am. You still have about one night time nurse but once we get settled in our new house I will be weaning you from any night time nurses and helping you to sleep in your own bed all night long. You HAVE GOT to be sleeping through the night and in your own bed before baby is born or Im in BIG TROUBLE! I hope this transition is just as easy as you going to sleep on your own.....I can only hope I guess!

Talking is still the same.....you know how to say many words but you just dont.....really....like to.....talk!? You jibber jabber and say the words you know well all the time but as far as saying new words or using the words you know your just a quiet boy. It has made me a little confused and at times and I have often wondered if I am doing something wrong or not doing something but I have to remember every child develops at there own rate I guess and It wont be long before I can't get you to be quiet so I guess i should enjoy it while it lasts :)

LOVE YOU baby boy and can't wait to bring you into our new house!! So excited xoxoxo

Such a CHARACTER

OH GRAYDEN....You did the cutest thing the other day. You have been pretty good with going to bed on your own for a couple of weeks now in your own bed. You went down for your 2 hour nap but woke up after only 45 minutes crying. I gave you a kiss and patted your back but you wouldn't stop crying. (it was your sad cry) so it made me think you maybe had a bad dream and needed some cuddles. So I gave in, picked you up and layed you on our bed. You closed your eyes and turned your body away from me. I layed with you for a couple minutes and snuck a few peeks of your face and your eyes kept opening and closing and when you noticed me looking you closed them right away but I could tell you were forcing them closed because they kept fluttering. All of a sudden you turned your body towards mine with your eyes closed and A HUGE SMILE ON YOUR FACE and you went right to bed. Haha it made me laugh so hard....It was your little cute way of saying "HA HA mommy I got my way" It was hilarious !!!

Sleeping on your own.......FINALLY!

We have had to rock you to sleep for far to long my little man. A week ago today you went to sleep all on your own. It has been a rough week with you being sick and all and Mommy just couldn't do it anymore. A lot of times we would rock you to sleep and when we put you down in your play pen you would wake up and sometimes not go back to sleep! I can't believe we have done it for this long!!!

At this point I knew the only way we would be able to teach you to fall asleep on your own was by letting you cry for a while. I was not ready to go through that myself but after a week of a non stop fussy toddler who has been attached to my hip 24/7.....I figured it was a perfect week to start and I would be able to handle you crying alone for a while :)

I waited until you were REALLY sleepy then nursed you. I picked you up, gave you a big hug and a kiss and layed you down, told you I loved you, and walked away. You were not happy about this at all.....You cried for about 5 minutes and I would go in after every 2 to let you know I was still around and that I loved you but you needed to go to sleep. Well after about 5 minutes you fell fast alseep :) I was so proud of myself and felt so relieved!

You have been doing awesome and now you rarely make a peep after we lay you down. Your used to the routine and usually shut your eyes as soon as I lay you down. It has been a huge relief for me and a big break! Its amazing and I just wish we started this sooner! lesson learned I guess!

Sorry baby #2 but you will be on your own starting day one! LoL

Love you little guy and thankyou for making this transition so easy for mommy!

A rough week.....plus reward!

I can honestly say this has been one of the toughest weeks with you Grayden! last tuesday when we went to bed you felt so warm but your temp was not feverish. You slept pretty well but out of no where you had a BM at 2am which NEVER happens. When you woke up you were SO hot. I checked your temp again and you were about 99*F You had no other symptoms but you had incredibly smelly BM's. Later in the day they started gettin runny so your olny symptoms were a bit of diareah and fever. I gave you lots of baths to help cool you down but you were attached to my hip ALL DAY LONG. That night was horrible You had about 4 BM"S and a fever of about 102*F We had a bath together at 2am and I ended up giving u some motrin. The next morning your fever reached a high of 103.4*F ....I was freaked right out and off to the doctors we went. It was a complete waste of my time......He didn't diagnose you with anything! He checked you out and everything seemed okay so he gave me a perscription for antibiotics and said this should help and that was it. I was soooo annoyed and frustrated and said my child does not need antibiotics for somthing you haven't even diagnosed .....Uhhggg doctors make me so MAD!! N E WAY i WALKED out without the perscription and we went home.

I had been so stressed the last couple of days worrying about my baby and not knowing whats wrong or being able to do anything about it is the absolute WORST! so after about 3 nights of no sleep, diaper changes, and lots of 2am baths. Your fever finally broke. FEVERS are the worst for me.....I know it's just the bodys way of fighting off an infection or whatever but it FREAKS ME OUT!

So I have no idea what was wrong with you or what you were fighting but you felt much better after the 4th day. You were still miserable for about a week after being sick and always wanted picked up. I am so happy to have my Grayden back and realized how much we take for granted when you are healthy!

I love you Grayden and so glad you are all better!

It's a BOY!!

We had a 3D ultrasound done yesterday at UC baby and found out we were having another boy! We could not be happier that Grayden will have a little brother to play with. If we had a girl we would have probably stoped at 2 kids but God has other plans for us I guess.

It was such a good experience to have an ultrasound that doesn't make you nervous by the tech just sitting there not saying a word to you or letting you know how your baby's doing. This time we got to just sit there and admire our new little boy for an entire hour. It was so AWESOME! He looks so perfect already and I cannot wait to meet him. He looked just like Grayden it was scary! Technology is amazing!

You look so perfect already little guy! I love you so much already you move around so much in mommies tummy it's Crazy!! It is seriously the best feeling in the whole world!
Can't wait to meet you!!

19 months old!

This has been such a busy month for us! Daddy has been so busy with his fire fighting course and going out to the fire hall lots. We went to disneyland, We sold our house this month. We are in the process of buying a new home and we have to be out of here and in a new house by October 30. It has been a crazy yet exciting month to say the least.

So what is new with Grayden?
You are a busy busy boy! You discovered how to get into every single sink in the house. You have always been excited about water so when you realized how to play in the sinks you were thrilled. Just when I thought you getting onto the kitchen table and computer desk was enough work....Lets start with the kitchen....
You realized you are now tall enough to climb the bar stools to get onto the kitchen counter and then you just climb into the sink and play in the water. Daddy pushed the chairs against the wall so you couldn't get on them only to watch you push them back againTs the kitchen counter. Haha we got a kick out of that one!

So no more bar stools at our house for now!
So In the bathroom you climb on top of the toilet and kneel on the toilet paper roll and pull yourself up on the sink. When ever we are near any of these rooms that is ALL YOU WANT TO DO!

It was cute at first but it has become very frustrating to be honest. Obviously we don't let you do it but you TRY TRY TRY. It is very exhausting constantly pulling you off toilets, computer desks, kitchen tables, and counter tops. How the heck are you supposed to baby proof that??? LoL To be honest when daddys not home and I have to get things done in the kitchen I will give in sometimes and just let you play in the sink. I end up with a big mess and water everywhere but sometimes it is worth it if I am trying to get something done. You are so busy!

I love the way you get so excited for piggy backs up and down the stairs and if you don't feel like a piggy back you turn me around or wrap your arm around my neck and plop yourself in my arms. I love that everytime you wake from your nap you sign to be nursed and have that special bonding time with mommy! You are very cranky without your after nap nurse. I love the funny noise and expressions you make when you are unhappy or want something.LOL I love how you lift your feet up to your waist when you run! You have the cutest run ever. I love how you grab mine or daddys hand when we are about to cross the road. I love how excited you get when you watch "winnie the pooh" I love our games we play around the house and how excited you get when we run around with you.

You just keep getting funner and funner to play with these days! You love to crawl onto mommy and daddys bed and start jumping like a little monkey! Most of the time I join you and you get a kick out of that. You laugh and get so silly when I sing "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" (you love that book) You love monkeys period.
You make monkey noises while you do this silly waddle with your hands at your side as you bob up and down.

You got sick for the second time in your life this month too. Right when we got home from disneyland. Both you and mommy caught a bit of a cold. Maybe it was the piece of gum you picked up off the ground in disneyland!!! AHhhrr I was so mortified!!

You are such a big eater these days. You eat almost anything and everything! You are still nursing a few times a day! I think we may just make it to age two after all. I remember my milk came in with you at 6 or 7 months pregnant so I wonder if my milk will start changing on you soon. We'll see how you deal with that :) You have started to say thank you really well this month. Sometimes you get confused and something else comes out but for the most part you can say it pretty good!

Well baby boy happy 19 months! Mommy and Daddy love you so much big boy!

DISNEYLAND !!

Oh my goodness where do I begin. So your first trip to disneyland was an absolute blast! Grandma Beecher came with us and it was so nice to have her there for the break at times and you guys had some really nice bonding time. We left Thurs Sept 10, 2009 and arrived in california around 1pm. Our hotel was called the " Catsle Inn and suites" The main reason I booked this hotel was because it said it was across the street from disney land and because it was a castle and it looked really neat. Well when we arrived we could not stop laughing. It was more like a castle dump. It wasn't THAT bad but it was definitely not what we expected! It was NOT across the street either. More like a block and a half away! I wasn't very happy about that but....... whatever !

We spent our first day at the pool but that didn't last long. For one they had three different pools right next to eachother. All you wsnted to do was hop in one and move on to the next....OVER....AND OVER....AND OVER AGAIN! It was cute at first and It was nice to watch you have so much fun but it was 30 degrees outside and chasing you back and forth got exhausting FAST! We spent about 10 mintues trying to find our shoes. Daddy had one missing and so did mommy. We could not find them anywhere. YOu had thrown them in the pool and they got trapped in the filter. Stinker!! LoL

Well after the pool we walked over to downtown disney to do some shopping. Apparently Michael Jackson's kids were there in disneyland that night too. Anyway We had planned to spend all day Friday at disneyland so we woke up bright and early and walked the block and a half over to disneyland. We saw Mickey right away as we walked in the park and had your picture taken. I thought you wouldn't be scared but you were TERRIFIED! You never cried you just didn't want to be near them and whoever was holding you at the time you would not let go for anything. You were pretty curious and as we walked away from them you would not take your eyes off them. "Sully" was a different story.....you were terrified of sully! You would not even look at him and just kept your face in daddys shoulder with your arms wrapped around his neck as tight as you possibly could. I don't blame you Gray....He is scary!

Anyway your first ride was DUMBO! You went with daddy and you LOVED it. You were clapping your hands and having a ball. It was so cute to watch. We spent the next couple of hours going on all the rides in that area such as Mr toad, snow white, peter pan etc. I was suprised you didn't get scared or cringe on any of them. I think there was just so much going on and one thing right after the other that made you so interested. You would clap some of the time but for the most part you just stared and made the most adorable expressions. I missed so much of the rides just staring at you and watching your reactions.....THAT WAS MOMMYS FUN! I LOVED IT!!!

Around 1pm you started to get very sleepy so mommy ran you over to the hotel for a nice long nap and rest. It was so nice for me to have those breaks and take a nap with you. Daddy and Grandma stayed at the park and got in some adult rides which was nice for them. You slept for 3 hours and then we were ready for some more fun! We took you on pirates of the carribean and you loved it. When it goes for the first dip you started to clap ! I was suprised at how much you liked it and didn't get scared.

We did almost all the rides in Disneyland that you could go on on Friday so we decided to spend Saturday in California adventure. It was so nice because there was hardly anyone there. We walked on every single ride. I was actually a little disappointed with california adventure. They didn't have alot of rides for you and the ones they did seemed like 5 seconds long. I think it took us a couple hours to go through california adventure and we just went back to disneyland. We wanted you to get pictures with Tigger and pooh so we rushed over there before you got to sleepy and stood in line for a few minutes. After about 10 mintues they told us tigger and pooh were going for a break. You were so exhausted at this point and fell asleep on my shoulder. I was trying to keep you awake so I lifted your head a bit and your neck just flew back......YOU WERE OUT!!! I could not believe how exhausted you were. I dont think I've ever seen you so tired so I just walked you back to the hotel and we rested for another 3 hours. That was our last chance to see tigger and pooh and we missed it :( Maybe next time.

We had been on all the rides so we spent our last few hours going on all your favorites. Your favorites were Dumbo, the safari boat, its a small world, and your all time favorite ride was THE TIKI ROOM! HAHA you just had a hoot in there. dancing and clapping away, yelling at all the birds. It was so funny. You had people laughing in there!

We went on Pirates of the caribbean one more time with you and again you enjoyed it but half way through everyone got backed up for some reason and the boats weren't moving. We were stuck in the worst part of the ride where the boats are battling back and forth dropping cannons in the water with all the scary music. You sat there in Grandmas arms and looked around for a few minutes but after about 5 of just sitting in that spot you reached over to me and wrapped your arms around me and rested your head on my chest! You got scared and i don't blame you thats a scary spot!

So our last hour in disneyland we watched the amazing fire works. They are un believable! They even had dumbo and tinkerbell flying in the sky while they were going. You maybe caught a couple minutes of it and then you passed out in my arms. Disneyland really is a magical place and I can't wait to take you there again when you are older and can remember everything. We are so fortunate to have been able to take you this young and to watch you discover what was around you. That was so much fun for mommy, daddy, and Grandma to watch. I can't begin to tell you how enjoyable that was for me to watch. Your expressions alone were worth every penny!

Thanks Grandma for coming with us and taking such good care of our little guy. He adores you and you are such an amazing Grandma. Grayden is so lucky to have you in his life. Thanks for everyting!!

Love you Grayden

Nursery Time !

Today was a big day for mommy! You've been 18 months for a couple weeks now which means you can now attend nursery at church!!! We haven't made it to church for the last couple of weeks so today was your first official day at nursery! It was so weird to sign my little guy in for nursery and to see him name already on the list. All those kids seemed so old and it was scary to realize that you were now that old (tear)....Your mom is such a sucker!

Well your first day at nursery didn't last long..... you were back in my arms about 10 minutes later LoL!
It doesn't help that church time is your nap time so we'll see how it goes. It will be nice for mommy and daddy to actually sit through sunday school and learn something rather than chase you around everywhere but I think this is going to take a while for you to get used to.

Love you BIG GUY!

21 weeks pregnant!!!

I can't believe I am half way through this pregnancy already!! This first one seemed like forever but I guess when you already have a little one to chase around all day.....time flies! This pregnancy has been so good thus far. The first 3 months or so weren't so good but this second trimester has been amazing! I don't even feel pregnant but the constant kicks always remind me. I missed feeling Grayden inside me and this time it feels so different because I actually know whats in there. I get so excited when I think there's another Grayden in there and to know how much love that's going to come with it makes me so thrilled! I can't wait to meet this little one. I wonder what he or she will look like, how different they will be from Grayden, to discover his or her different personality!! Ahhhh Im so excited!

Sometimes I think how can I possibly have another one when Grayden keeps me so busy these days. I know its going to be hard work and stressful at times but I now no it won't even compare to the Joy this baby will also bring into our lives.

Can't wait to meet you little one :)

18 Months old!!!

My baby is a YEAR and a HALF old today!! CRAZY...CRAZY!! I can't believe how fast this has gone!

This month has been interesting to say the least. The title of this post should say "The whiney month" I don't know what your deal has been but you have been just miserable this month baby! I think part of it is because we haven't been able to use the basement which is our main play area with most of your toys. So maybe you have been just really bored?? ....I don't know. Every time your Auntie's come over your just a big winer and you get mad even if they look at you...haha! Your even that way with daddy right now. Mommy seemed to be the only one that you wanted to hang out with this month. Maybe the title should have been "attached to the hip" !!

Whats new with Gray?

Weight- 27 LBs
Height-

You have learned new signs and some new words....but again, you hardly talk. You can probably say about 20 words now but you hardly say any of them. You are such a quiet boy (minus the whineing this month) you have always been a quiet boy. Im sure in the next few months we probably won't be able to keep you quiet. You are starting to say the words along with the signs you know. Your favorite sign is bath and whenever it's bath time...you slap your chest and say, "BAF"

Your eating hasn't changed much nor your sleeping. You ALWAYS nap between 11-12 everyday for at least 2 hours or more.

You LOVE the park and most of all the swing. You can sit in there for hours!! You have become very independent. You go down the slide by yourself and you can walk up stairs all by yourself without holding on to anything. You like to feed yourself and use your own utensils, You TRY to dress yourself, when we are watching a movie and it freezes you run to the dvd player and know how to push the play button (cracks me up every time) You get up onto EVERYTHING! computer desk, kitchen table, coffee tables you name it. I thought our house was completely baby proofed but there is nothing I can do about this one except keep all the chairs away and keep my eyes on you 24/7.
You are at a stage where everything is..."monkey see, monkey do" You like to copy everything we do right now. When you see me dip a carrot you HAVE to dip your carrot. When you see me put tooth paste on my tooth brush, you have to put tooth paste on your tooth brush. When we kiss you want to kiss etc. etc.

Your favorite new past time is re-organizing the fridge :) If you see it open you run to get your arm in the way before it closes. If your too late you get so upset and have a little cry....haha !! It melts my heart and I sometimes give in and let you haver...You love to take the dressings and ketchup stuff off the sides of the fridge door and put them on the shelves in the fridge and then put everything back again. I don't let you do this often but it's sure cute to watch.

Rocks are a huge hit right now. You are completely obsessed with rocks! Mommy and Daddy get a kick out of watching you try to pick them out of the side walk pavement on our nightly walks. Even though you know they don't come out...you try every time.

You love to do things by yourself and love to be praised by doing so. When you put your hat back on by yourself or put your toys back in the toy box or even just put a rock though a hole. Whenever we say, " Good boy grayden" or "Good Job" you light up with a huge smile on your face and you just feel so proud. I love watching you succeed even if it is just putting a rock though a hole. You make mommy so proud no matter what you do.

The sweet little baby is fading away before my eyes and every day he is more "the big boy".
What fun it is to watch him living life, to see the world through his eyes. To get excited with every airplane or bird that flies by or every rock he finds. It is so much fun ! I love you Grayden more than you can ever imagine!
Happy 18 month Birthday!
