DISNEYLAND !!

Oh my goodness where do I begin. So your first trip to disneyland was an absolute blast! Grandma Beecher came with us and it was so nice to have her there for the break at times and you guys had some really nice bonding time. We left Thurs Sept 10, 2009 and arrived in california around 1pm. Our hotel was called the " Catsle Inn and suites" The main reason I booked this hotel was because it said it was across the street from disney land and because it was a castle and it looked really neat. Well when we arrived we could not stop laughing. It was more like a castle dump. It wasn't THAT bad but it was definitely not what we expected! It was NOT across the street either. More like a block and a half away! I wasn't very happy about that but....... whatever !

We spent our first day at the pool but that didn't last long. For one they had three different pools right next to eachother. All you wsnted to do was hop in one and move on to the next....OVER....AND OVER....AND OVER AGAIN! It was cute at first and It was nice to watch you have so much fun but it was 30 degrees outside and chasing you back and forth got exhausting FAST! We spent about 10 mintues trying to find our shoes. Daddy had one missing and so did mommy. We could not find them anywhere. YOu had thrown them in the pool and they got trapped in the filter. Stinker!! LoL

Well after the pool we walked over to downtown disney to do some shopping. Apparently Michael Jackson's kids were there in disneyland that night too. Anyway We had planned to spend all day Friday at disneyland so we woke up bright and early and walked the block and a half over to disneyland. We saw Mickey right away as we walked in the park and had your picture taken. I thought you wouldn't be scared but you were TERRIFIED! You never cried you just didn't want to be near them and whoever was holding you at the time you would not let go for anything. You were pretty curious and as we walked away from them you would not take your eyes off them. "Sully" was a different story.....you were terrified of sully! You would not even look at him and just kept your face in daddys shoulder with your arms wrapped around his neck as tight as you possibly could. I don't blame you Gray....He is scary!

Anyway your first ride was DUMBO! You went with daddy and you LOVED it. You were clapping your hands and having a ball. It was so cute to watch. We spent the next couple of hours going on all the rides in that area such as Mr toad, snow white, peter pan etc. I was suprised you didn't get scared or cringe on any of them. I think there was just so much going on and one thing right after the other that made you so interested. You would clap some of the time but for the most part you just stared and made the most adorable expressions. I missed so much of the rides just staring at you and watching your reactions.....THAT WAS MOMMYS FUN! I LOVED IT!!!

Around 1pm you started to get very sleepy so mommy ran you over to the hotel for a nice long nap and rest. It was so nice for me to have those breaks and take a nap with you. Daddy and Grandma stayed at the park and got in some adult rides which was nice for them. You slept for 3 hours and then we were ready for some more fun! We took you on pirates of the carribean and you loved it. When it goes for the first dip you started to clap ! I was suprised at how much you liked it and didn't get scared.

We did almost all the rides in Disneyland that you could go on on Friday so we decided to spend Saturday in California adventure. It was so nice because there was hardly anyone there. We walked on every single ride. I was actually a little disappointed with california adventure. They didn't have alot of rides for you and the ones they did seemed like 5 seconds long. I think it took us a couple hours to go through california adventure and we just went back to disneyland. We wanted you to get pictures with Tigger and pooh so we rushed over there before you got to sleepy and stood in line for a few minutes. After about 10 mintues they told us tigger and pooh were going for a break. You were so exhausted at this point and fell asleep on my shoulder. I was trying to keep you awake so I lifted your head a bit and your neck just flew back......YOU WERE OUT!!! I could not believe how exhausted you were. I dont think I've ever seen you so tired so I just walked you back to the hotel and we rested for another 3 hours. That was our last chance to see tigger and pooh and we missed it :( Maybe next time.

We had been on all the rides so we spent our last few hours going on all your favorites. Your favorites were Dumbo, the safari boat, its a small world, and your all time favorite ride was THE TIKI ROOM! HAHA you just had a hoot in there. dancing and clapping away, yelling at all the birds. It was so funny. You had people laughing in there!

We went on Pirates of the caribbean one more time with you and again you enjoyed it but half way through everyone got backed up for some reason and the boats weren't moving. We were stuck in the worst part of the ride where the boats are battling back and forth dropping cannons in the water with all the scary music. You sat there in Grandmas arms and looked around for a few minutes but after about 5 of just sitting in that spot you reached over to me and wrapped your arms around me and rested your head on my chest! You got scared and i don't blame you thats a scary spot!

So our last hour in disneyland we watched the amazing fire works. They are un believable! They even had dumbo and tinkerbell flying in the sky while they were going. You maybe caught a couple minutes of it and then you passed out in my arms. Disneyland really is a magical place and I can't wait to take you there again when you are older and can remember everything. We are so fortunate to have been able to take you this young and to watch you discover what was around you. That was so much fun for mommy, daddy, and Grandma to watch. I can't begin to tell you how enjoyable that was for me to watch. Your expressions alone were worth every penny!

Thanks Grandma for coming with us and taking such good care of our little guy. He adores you and you are such an amazing Grandma. Grayden is so lucky to have you in his life. Thanks for everyting!!

Love you Grayden
xoxo Mommy and Daddy
