Christmas Update..

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Christmas just wasn't the same without my family around but it was still really nice. We had lots of fun spending time with Codys family this year. Cody and I spent christmas morning at our house opening gifts and then we went to his parents to open gifts and spent most of the day there, We got so spoiled this year!!! We had to run to Sasha's to wait for Tara-lynns Call. It was so nice to talk to her and hear that she is doing so well. Christmas is our favorite time of year and its so crazy to think that this time next year we will have a little boy crawling around. We really can't wait!! Its January tomorrow and it blows my mind to think that NEXT month our baby will be here! NEXT MONTH!! It really has gone by so fast.

I was referred to an OB a month ago but they still haven't got back to me so I am still seeing my regular doctor until then. I am now seeing her every two weeks and we have an ultrasound appointment on January 8th just to make sure everything still looks good and ready.

Here are a couple Christmas pictures....You can check out more pictures under "my babysite" to the right of the blog under "fun stuff"

Have a wonderful New Years!!!

32 weeks today!

Well I just got my weekly email telling me I am now in my 8th month. Wow thats so crazy. Only 7 more weeks to go! He's almost 4 lbs now and about 16 inches long. He's getting so big in there. Im at the point where I can honestly say I am no longer enjoying this pregnancy as much. I love it.... but I don't, and Im sure all you mothers out there no exactly what Im talking about. Im constantly changing my mind. When It comes to bed time, I've just about had it. Trying to sleep is just a nightmare. I had a good cry to cody the other afternoon when I once again was awaken by another charlie horse. I was just so frustrated and basicly felt like I couldn't do this anymore. I have to keep reminding myself of what's around the corner and how IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT WHEN HE'S FINALLY HERE! Any way here is a couple picks of me at 32 weeks.

Merry christmas!!

8 more weeks

I don't really have much to update and no new pictures to post, I'm just sitting at work and have nothing else better to do. So you will have to make due with a moment or two of my rambling.

I will be 8 months on Monday and somedays It feels like February just can't get here fast enough! As much as I love being pregnant there are definitely a few symptoms I could live without right now. The back ache, my sore feet with all this extra weight Im carrying around. Trying to sleep is horrible right now. I can't get comfortable anymore and when I finally do guess what......its time for the SEVENTH bathroom break!!! Oh and the charlie horses!!!!
Thats probably the worst thing thats happened to me thus far! They are SO PAINFUL and wake me right out of my sleep. I had a really bad one a while ago in my calve and I woke up screaming and balling my eyes out. Poor hubby was in a panic not knowing what the heck happened to me. I was limping on that leg for about 3 days. As tough as it can be somedays I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. It will be worth all the aches and pains when we finally get to hold our little boy for the first time.

He had the Hiccups for the second time yesterday. They went on for atleast 10 minutes. Can you just imagine him in there hicupping away...(not sure if thats even a word, but whatever) LoL....its so amazing thats he's a little person already and I just can't wait to meet him!

I only have 12 more days of work and then I am done for a LONG LONG time. I don't plan to go back to work because I really want to stay at home with my kids. After a year or so I plan to open a little day home in the basement to make a little extra money. I can't wait to be done work and off this horrible NIGHTS schedule. Now that it's winter I can't remember the last time I saw the sun or daytime for that matter. It starts getting dark at 4:30 now and we usually don't get up until 5 or later. We go to bed in the dark and wake up in the dark, It will be nice to be on a NORMAL schedule and not feel so tired all the time. That gives me about one month to myself before the baby comes. It will be nice to have those 4 weeks to get some last minute things done, but most of all to relax and get as much rest as I can, and of course enjoy that time with just Cody and I. It's been just the two of us for so long (7 years long) so as much as were ready for this next step, I'm definitely going to miss those times with just him and I and not a care in the world. We are so excited and so ready for this next step, but we are definitely going to take these last 8 weeks, or however long our son decides to give us, and enjoy the freedoms of un-parenthood.

Well thats all for now. I will probably post some pictures this weekend. Hope you are all enjoying the holiday season.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

30 weeks....

The countdown is on guys!! We have less than 10 weeks to go and they are going to fly by so fast with christmas and everything else going on. I really can't believe I've been pregnant for that long! I still feel awesome but I have been feeling alot more sleepy lately. I'm starting to feel a little uncomfortable and trying to get up, or change positions while I sleep is taking alot more effort these days! Oh and the bathroom breaks!! Ahh.... it's like he sits on my bladder all day and especially before bed. I'll get into bed and no more than 5 seconds go by it feels like my bladder is full again!! I repeat this process about 4 or 5 times and I'll sit there for 5 minutes and get hardly nothing.....its very frustrating.

I hardly get those hard kicks anymore because he's getting so much bigger but he still moves around like crazy. I was watching him the other day and It was like I had a rubber ball under my skin that just rolled from one side to the other. It was the neatest thing I've ever seen. I could sit there for hours watching him in there. I'm starting to get a little nervous but definitely more excited than anything. It's overwhelming to think that Once your a mother you will never not be a mother again. If that makes any sense. There's so much to think about. I can't wait to meet him and to see who he looks like and all that exciting stuff. He's going to be here in no time!

Anyway here's the baby bump at 30 weeks.

I caught a little video of him moving the other morning. It happens right at the beginning and then the rest of the video is just me trying to get him to move but I get nothing . Watch the right side of my stomach.

The newest member of the Beecher family....

On December 5th Chad and Jenn Beecher (Codys brother and sister in-law) welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Madison Brooke Beecher. She was 6 lbs 1 ounce and 19 inches. They had a few complications but in the end, Jenn gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby girl. Cody and I are so in love with her and she is such a good baby. She is our first niece so she is pretty special and we can't wait to spoil her. We were pretty scared to hold her at first because she is so tiny but after a couple visits with her we have become pros. It's good practice for when our baby comes thats for sure. I love the fact that our babys will be so close in age. It's going to be lots of fun.

Anyway here are a few photos of the little angel...

I love this one..

Daddys Thoughts!

Taleah has posted most of the updates on the Blog so i thought that it would be nice to put some of my input as well. I was thinking the other day how it has been 7 years since Taleah and I have been together, and ever since we started dating we always talked about getting married, having kids, growing old together. And then it dawned on me, that all we ever wanted, all our hopes and dreams are coming true. And one of the most special ones is coming true right now, the birth of our baby boy. I am so excited and thrilled about all that has happend through this pregnancy, It truly is a blessing to be involved in something that is so special. I am so greatful that everything has gone so well, and how my beautiful wife grows with a bigger and brighter glow each day. I am her number one fan and I am so proud of her and all the trials she has gone through. She is what this boy is all about. The only thing i have been trying to do is to soak up every minute, take it all in. There is a song called "Dont Blink" By my favorite singer Kenny Chesney. It touches me in so many ways, and i think every one who listens to this song can think back to a time in their lives where they had one of those special moments, and now thinking back how it just flew by and then realize how precious life and all these miracles are and to soak up every moment. I related to this song because it is really hard for me to stop and smell the roses. There's always something else that needs doing, some commitment, some place I have to be... and theres always a reason why its important, But this song reminds me that really living your life needs to happen, because it could all be over, in a blink of an eye. Its something we all need to remember. Life goes faster than anyone thinks. So we should all love one another, get the most of our lives and enjoy the people we're here with. This song was the very first song I played for my baby boy in his mommys tummy. I hope this song means as much to you as it does to me. Always remember "Take every breath God gives you for what it's worth" "Dont Blink".

ENJOY THE VIDEO

Ultrasound update

Well it was confirmed that we are definitely having a boy (thank goodness). More importantly he is healthy and everything looked normal. The tech was awesome and brought Cody In right away for me. She followed us through everything and gave us alot of information which was nice. He was so active in there through out the entire ultrasound which was so amazing to see on the monitor. I dont think he liked it very much, it was like he knew exactly where she was putting the doppler because he kept kicking at it which made it bounce off my belly a couple times. It was so funny!

He weighs almost 3 lbs and she said He looks 29 weeks and four days which is exactly a week older than we thought. Which would give me a due date of February 11th. They said at the last two ultrasounds that he is exactly a week older too but Im still going to stick with my original due date of February 18 and if he comes early than GREAT. He could very well be a Valentines baby!

So about the 4D ......she warned us that it might be hard to get good footage of him because he is so much bigger....... and boy was she right. She tryed for about 20 minutes to get good footage of his face but it just wasn't happenin. There wasn't a lot of fluid around his face which made it even more difficult. We could only really see his most distinctive features like his mouth, nose, hands and eyes but thats about it. He did have his one eye open the whole time which was really neat to see. I know I said on my other post that I was told its almost exactly what he'll look like when hes born.......Well I sure hope not. LoL I can honestly say some of the footage is a little freaky lookin but like i said It just wasn't good footage, nothing like the 4D before. I didn't care if we got any at all just as long as he's a healthy boy!! Any way check out the video of our baby below!! ENJOY and watch for his eye thats open. Cody thinks he is smiling in some of it too.

29 week 4D video

Some of you may not be able to make any of it out so I'll help you out a bit...

1st part is the side of his face and you can see his eyes and his nose pretty well.
2nd part you can see just his open eye!!
3rd part is of his face (looks like hes grinning) you can see his hand wave in there too and again his right eye is wide open
4th part is of his face

Last Trimester...

I'm so excited to be in my third and final trimester, you have no idea. We have another 4D ultrasound tomorrow and we're so excited. I heard that what your baby looks like at this point on a 4D is almost exactly what he will look like when he comes. Hopefully he's in a good position and active so we can get some good footage, and maybe catch him opening his eyes or sucking his thumb. That would be amazing, and we should also find out how much he's averaging in weight. Cody and I were talking and thinking about what we would do if they told us we were having a girl! Could you imagine..LoL We're pretty confident were having a boy but it will be nice to have that offically confirmed tomorrow. I will try and post the 4D video somtime friday night.

Anyway here is another belly shot at 28 weeks.

A couple kicks....

I have been trying to get good footage of the baby kicking for a while now but everytime I get the camera out he just stops! So Frustrating....He is so active in there its crazy and at times he will constantly kick for 10 minutes at a time. I think he had the hiccups the other day because it was one right after the other. It was so cute! I absolutley love feeling his movements all the time and I really want to capture those special moments on video as much as possible. I have been taking the camera to work with me because he is most active between midnight and 3 am. I layed down for a bit at work with the camera and I captured a couple kicks but nothing like when he really gets going in there. Hopefully I can catch some of those rolls and hard kicks soon but for the mean time here are a couple kicks for ya to see.

Theres a kick at 1:29 ...1:25 and 1:00 .......WATCH CLOSELY :) I get nothing after the last kick at 1:00 so you dont have to stare at my belly for the last minute.

95 days to go...

Well there's not a whole lot to update you on in the last couple of weeks. I finally went to see my doctor yesterday after almost 2 months. YIKES, she was on holidays for this month and when I had my appointment last month I ended up waiting for over an hour so we just left. She was not very impressed about it though. Next month I will start seeing my OBGYN who will be delivering the baby at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. Everything still looks great but I have been having a lot of problems with my back lately. My doctor wrote me note to go get some physio so we'll see how that goes. We have another ultrasound appointment booked for November 30th. Apparently on the last ultrasound he was not in a very good position for the tech to see all angles of his heart so we have to go in and try again. It will also be another 4D which we are thrilled about :) I can't wait to see how much hes changed. Hopefully this one will go better than the last and that we dont get stuck with new girl.

This was a pretty emotional but exciting week for the family. Tara-lynn left for her mission to Salt Lake City on Sunday. I didn't think it was going to be as hard as it was for me to say good-bye. She's going to be gone for a year and a half which means she won't see her nephew until he's 16 months old. It's going to be hard for me with out her here and I will miss her tons. It was nice to see mom and dad last weekend and spend some time with them. Its so hard to believe that the next time we see them our baby boy will be here !! Crazy.

Any way here is the belly at 26 weeks.

24 weeks today !!

It's hard to believe I have been pregnant for half of a year already!! Where did the time go? February feels so far away but time really is flying by so fast. Baby is growing lots and his kicks are getting so much stronger. We were laying down on the couch the other day watching the hockey game and he was kicking like crazy, so I fliped up my shirt to see if I could see my belly move and there it was bouncin along with him :) It was so exciting and amazing to see that. He loves my right side and Is most active when I get home from work and hop into bed and after supper. I am so loving this pregnancy and feel very blessed everything is going so perfectly. As much as I can't wait for February to get here I am definitely going to miss him being so much apart of me, and feeling his little movements all the time.

Anyway Here is my 24 week Belly shot !

New Belly Shots..

Well I haven't posted in a while and everyones getting on my case so I thought Id better post a little update. Not a whole lot has happened since we found out were having a boy. We went to Vancouver last weekend to visit mom and dad which was really nice. We went to the states everynight and did a bunch of baby shopping (mostly clothes) Carters had a huge sale for $1.99 on tons of thier clothes. We went crazy and bought so many cute outfits. I guess thats the downside of finding out the sex before their born, the shopping gets a little out of control!! But It was so much fun and the dollar is so great.

Any way on October 15th Cody FINALLY felt our baby kick for the first time. His kicks have been pretty strong to feel for a few weeks now but everytime Code trys to feel, he just stops kicking. Cody just tryed talking to him and poked at my belly a bit and that did the trick. Code was so excited and it was so fun to watch ......AGAIN one of those firsts we won't ever forget !!

Heres a few pics of me and the belly at 22 & 23 weeks

Were having a little BOY!!!

Yesterday we had our much anticipated 4D ultrasound and found out we are having a little boy, and more importantly he looked healthy and strong. We coudn't be more happier and are so thrilled to have a son. It was so amazing to see him moving around in his own little world. What a blessing it is to have that little glimpse inside and to see five fingers and five toes and already looks like an adorable little boy. We have a short 2D/4D video of him just below and we have probably watched it over 100 times already. It's amazing to me to think that we are able to create such miracles and I love knowing that my body provides everything that he needs right now.

I was a little frustrated with the ultrasound tech (I got stuck with the new girl who spoke very little english) She told me at first that, "baby no good spot to 4d" ......HUH?? It was so frustrating trying to communicate with her and I didn't understand why she was saying we couldn't go through with the 4D. Anyway on top of that I kept asking her to bring my husband in but she kept saying Later. I was so mad and should have said more.... but anyway.....She had to get someone in there to help her with a few things because I don't think she really new what she was doing. This other girl also did the 4D part of the ultrasound and was able to get a few good shots of his face and body. I Said to her again can you please go get my husband and finally she brought him in after about 40 minutes of him waiting!!!! She was so frustrating. I asked the other lady if the baby was in a bad position to find out the sex and she said, "I think your having a BOY". He must have spread those legs a little more because a couple seconds later she giggled and said, "YUP your definitely having a boy". LoL Cody felt so proud. Anyway, it was an amazing experience and Im so greatful that everything looks great. His heartbeat was 158 BMP.

We couldn't wait to tell everyone the exciting news and the calls were ringing off the hook. Grandpa Prete was the first person we told that he was having a grandson, and to get those mini golf clubs ready! LoL. Grandpa was so excited he is having a grandson and I think he was secretly hoping for one. Then of course Grandma Prete called and we told her the good news, there was no response on the other side. LoL she had to control her tears. Everyone was so excited!!

We drove straight to Winners and FINALLY did some shopping for this little boy. Then to Grandma and Grandpa Beechers to tell them the exciting news. Grandma Beecher had called while we were still at the ultrasound place, but Cody made her wait until we got there to tell her in person. They are very excited and are now waiting for a Grandaughter and a Grandson within the same year. Cody was so proud yesterday. I loved watching him talk about all these fun things he was going to do and teach our son. He's so excited to have a little boy!

Yesterday was so exciting for us and I feel like Im on cloud nine. I have an amazing husband who I absolutely adore and love with all my heart and we are having a beautiful son together who I already love so much!! .......This is what life is all about. I can't wait for our son to come into this world and start our very own family.

First movements :)

YUP, it finally happened. I felt our baby's first movements on September 15th around 8:30 pm at almost 18 weeks pregnant. We were at Grandma and Grandpa's 50th wedding anniversary and I was sitting on the couch listening to everyone talk and I felt this little flutter or somthing on the right side of my stomach. I didn't really think anything of it at first but I waited to see if it happened again and about 5 seconds later, I felt it again. I shouted at everyone that the baby just moved and of course Cody rushes over to try and feel but it's to early for that. Baby moved about 5 or 6 times and It was the neatest experience and so emotional, but we all know me when I'm around others. I don't like to show that kind of emotion so I just held it in but It was definitely one of those "FIRSTS" I will never forget.

It's SO real now, not like it wasn't before but It hasn't really hit me yet that were ACTUALLY having a baby, of course until I felt him/her move!! Now this baby's moving all the time and It is the best feeling in the world. Im so greatful for such a clear sign that this baby is healthy and strong. Some movements are stonger than others and have actually made me jump, I'm just not used to it I guess. Pregnancy has been such an amazing experience so far and I still have so much to look forward to.

The 4D ultrasound has been rescheduled for Friday Sept 28th at 1:20 instead of the monday. I didn't want to wait all weekend. LoL Only 8 more sleeps. CAN'T WAIT

Here ya go everyone...A video of the ACTUAL heartbeat!! LoL And the digital monitor does work.
About 153 bpm and the most beautiful sound in the world.

Second prenatal today ....

So I had my second prenatal visit today and everything looks great. Cody was able to come this time. I had a few concerns with me blacking out and all last week, but she said thats pretty common in pregnancy. I haven't gained any weight since last check up which was five weeks ago. So I have only gained 6 pounds so far in this pregnancy.

We had a pretty good laugh at this visit. As you all know Cody and I have a doppler at home and have listened to the heart beat a few times. Well she pulled out her doppler and started moving it all around and I thought she had found it right away because we heard the beating sound that we were so used to hearing. But then she kept moving it. I was thinking to my self what is she doing, it's right there, but then ......... she found a little different sound. THE HEARTBEAT!! LOL I asked her what that other beating sound was and she said, "oh that's just your "increased" blood flow!!!!!!! LoL Geez we laughed so hard. So all that mushy talk about using the doppler for the first time and laying there together watching Cody listen to his baby's heart beat for the first time......well turns out we were just admiring my "increased" blood flow!!! LoL woo hoo. So today was actually the first time Cody heard our babys heartbeat! I hope you all enjoyed watching the video listening to my blood flow!! LoL ........Hey were not doctors!

Anyway, our next ultrasound is booked for October 1st at 2:10pm !!!! We are crazy excited for this ultrasound where we can FINALLY find out the sex!! I am dyeing to start shopping for this little one!! It will also be a 4D ultrasound where we will have images of his/her little face and video of it moving around. Can't wait for that, I'm already having a hard time sleeping just thinking about it. I will be 20 weeks Sept 30, which means I will be half way there in just a couple weeks!!! I can't beleive how fast this is all going but I'm trying to soak up every minute of it. I still haven't felt baby move but I am only 17 weeks, so I have lots of time yet. I am just so excited to feel some movements! Well I will try and get a video of the ACTUAL heartbeat today and then post it a little later on. Thanks for reading and for all your lovely comments!!

We added my 16 week baby bump today. I didn't notice how much my belly has grown until I saw the 16 week baby bump. We love it!! Everything is still going really well. I go for my second prenatal visit on the 12th. Still waiting to feel baby move and only 3 more weeks until we can find out wether we are having a boy or a girl...CAN'T WAIT!!! Anyway here's a short slide show of the little baby bump so far....
