18 Months old!!!

My baby is a YEAR and a HALF old today!! CRAZY...CRAZY!! I can't believe how fast this has gone!

This month has been interesting to say the least. The title of this post should say "The whiney month" I don't know what your deal has been but you have been just miserable this month baby! I think part of it is because we haven't been able to use the basement which is our main play area with most of your toys. So maybe you have been just really bored?? ....I don't know. Every time your Auntie's come over your just a big winer and you get mad even if they look at you...haha! Your even that way with daddy right now. Mommy seemed to be the only one that you wanted to hang out with this month. Maybe the title should have been "attached to the hip" !!

Whats new with Gray?

Weight- 27 LBs
Height-

You have learned new signs and some new words....but again, you hardly talk. You can probably say about 20 words now but you hardly say any of them. You are such a quiet boy (minus the whineing this month) you have always been a quiet boy. Im sure in the next few months we probably won't be able to keep you quiet. You are starting to say the words along with the signs you know. Your favorite sign is bath and whenever it's bath time...you slap your chest and say, "BAF"

Your eating hasn't changed much nor your sleeping. You ALWAYS nap between 11-12 everyday for at least 2 hours or more.

You LOVE the park and most of all the swing. You can sit in there for hours!! You have become very independent. You go down the slide by yourself and you can walk up stairs all by yourself without holding on to anything. You like to feed yourself and use your own utensils, You TRY to dress yourself, when we are watching a movie and it freezes you run to the dvd player and know how to push the play button (cracks me up every time) You get up onto EVERYTHING! computer desk, kitchen table, coffee tables you name it. I thought our house was completely baby proofed but there is nothing I can do about this one except keep all the chairs away and keep my eyes on you 24/7.
You are at a stage where everything is..."monkey see, monkey do" You like to copy everything we do right now. When you see me dip a carrot you HAVE to dip your carrot. When you see me put tooth paste on my tooth brush, you have to put tooth paste on your tooth brush. When we kiss you want to kiss etc. etc.

Your favorite new past time is re-organizing the fridge :) If you see it open you run to get your arm in the way before it closes. If your too late you get so upset and have a little cry....haha !! It melts my heart and I sometimes give in and let you haver...You love to take the dressings and ketchup stuff off the sides of the fridge door and put them on the shelves in the fridge and then put everything back again. I don't let you do this often but it's sure cute to watch.

Rocks are a huge hit right now. You are completely obsessed with rocks! Mommy and Daddy get a kick out of watching you try to pick them out of the side walk pavement on our nightly walks. Even though you know they don't come out...you try every time.

You love to do things by yourself and love to be praised by doing so. When you put your hat back on by yourself or put your toys back in the toy box or even just put a rock though a hole. Whenever we say, " Good boy grayden" or "Good Job" you light up with a huge smile on your face and you just feel so proud. I love watching you succeed even if it is just putting a rock though a hole. You make mommy so proud no matter what you do.

The sweet little baby is fading away before my eyes and every day he is more "the big boy".
What fun it is to watch him living life, to see the world through his eyes. To get excited with every airplane or bird that flies by or every rock he finds. It is so much fun ! I love you Grayden more than you can ever imagine!
Happy 18 month Birthday!

19 week baby update

Me at 18 weeks !

I don't have a lot to update on with baby #2 but this pregnancy has been really good. The first 4 months were a lot more difficult this time around. I had never been so exhausted in my life, and I felt a lot sicker with this one but these last few weeks I have felt great. At this point I don't even feel pregnant. I haven't had any cravings (thank goodness) I have had the worst cravings for terrible food that I do not need. I have CRAVED a tropical hawaiin Pizza from panago, a cinnamon bun, a MCchicken, and an ice cream cone. I could not get these foods off my mind....I constantly thought about them and as Much as I said ......"Taleah you are not getting a Mcchicken" I could not stop thinking about it. Once I caved into getting this crap the thoughts were gone.....It was so wierd to me cus I had nothing like that with Gray.

Anyway more exciting news I felt the baby move for the first time August 11th a few days earlier than Gray. It's funny how you wait so long to feel that little flutter or kick and then once you feel it....it doesn't stop. BEST FEELING IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!

We had an ultrasound yesterday hoping to find out the sex but no such luck. She did say she MAY have seen some boy parts but it was too early to tell and baby was in a bad spot. I booked another one Sept 3rd to find out so we will see.

Here is a pic of our little peanut. There's a couple hilarious pics of the face....haha

This one cracks me up!!

Our trip to Vancouver

It was definitely a different experience traveling with a child all by myself. Thank goodness it was only an hour flight. He didn't make a single fuss on the way there or back. I just plopped his Tigger and Pooh DVD in front of him and he was good to go. He loved staring out the window and saying hi to everyone around him. He was very content and quiet which was good. There was a kid behind me that couldn't have been much older than Gray that kicked my chair the whole way. I probably would have said somthing 18 months ago but having a child yourself you sorta have an understanding. I just couldn't believe she didn't even appolojize on his behalf. Anyway enough about that I was just thankful that wasn't my child.

We went to Vancouver last year when Gray was only 4 months old so we couldn't really do much but this time it was sooo much fun. He just loved it out there on the beach and it was fun for me to watch him run and run where ever he wanted to go. The tide goes out so far over there leaving a ton of puddles everywhere. That was the best part not having to worry about what he'd get into or where he was going. It was awesome!! I wish daddy could have been there to see you but mommy got lots of video :)
You adore your Nana and Papa so much.

Papa picked us up from the airport and it was one of the sweetest memories I will always remember. You haven't seen Papa (except on Ichat) for over a month and he was about 100 feet away when we saw him so I pointed him out to you and said, "there's Papa" Well you noticed him right away and pushed yourself away from me. I put you down and you started running towards him with your arms open. He started running towards you with his arms open and you ran right into his arms. It was like a movie moment and just melted my heart. I wish Nana was there.

There was another adorable experience with you in Vancouver! We were at belisfare mall in the states and there is this little foam play area in the middle of the mall that you really wanted to go in. We hung out in there for almost an hour and there was this little asian boy your age that you noticed right away. You immediately went over to him and had a huge smile on your face. You wrapped your arms around him and gave him the biggest hug. The little boy was confused and started walking away but you would just chase him and continue to wrap your arms around him and rest your head on his shoulders. This went on for atleast 5 minutes. You were just smiling and laughing the whole time. I was in tears laughing so hard and couldn't believe you were doing that. You have never done that with any kids so it was so adorable to see........MY LOVING BOY!!

It was so much fun to visit Nana and Papa and it was nice to be away from home for a bit. Thanks for everything Mom and Dad xoxoxo
