Doppler finally arrived!!

Well the baby doppler FINALLY arrived on Friday and we put it to use right away. Cody was so excited because he hasn't heard the heartbeat yet. He was even more excited to try and find it himself. It took him a while to find it but he did after a few minutes!!! I loved watching his face when he finally found the spot and heard his baby's heartbeat for the first time. That was so special to lay there with him, trying to find our baby's heartbeat together. It's amazing to have a little device in your very own home, that allows you to hear your baby's heartbeat when ever you want. It's very comforting and we love it. We took some video but I can't figure out how to download it from the video camera. Until then we managed to get some video using the camera...The digital heart rate doesn't work very well, It sounds a little fuzzy at times but in some parts you can hear really well. ENJOY !!

Here are some belly photos for ya. Were excited to see how much this belly of mine is going to grow in these next few months. Cody can't wait until I'm huge LoL. I just can't wait until Im out of that "feeling just fat stage". It feels like I'm walking around with a little ponch, and I cant wait to actually look PREGNANT.

The Heartbeat !!

So today was my first prenatal visit and boy do I feel violated..lol I have never been so thoroughly checked out by a doctor in my life (thank goodness it was a women) Tara-lynn came with me today cuz cody wasn't able to. She wants to be apart of this pregnancy as much as possible since she will be gone on her mission soon.

Anyway, so back when I had my first ultrasound they told me that the baby looked a week furthur along than we thought. we were so thrilled because everyweek is a big deal and that meant I was even closer to the three month mark. Well today my doctor told me not to go by that but to stick with my original date which is February 18th :( I was a little bumed..... so Im 12 weeks instead of 13 but still on to the second trimester. woo woo

So I finally got to hear the babys heartbeat today :) It was so special and Im really glad that Tara was there for that, and experience that with me for the first time. I thought it would have taken the doctor a while to move the doppler around to find it (I heard it usually takes a while and somtimes they can't find it at all) But she found it right away and it was so amazing. It sounded like a running horse. She let us listen for a couple minutes and I can't get the sound out of my head. I could have layed there all day just listening to it. Cody was pretty bumed out that he missed that but we bought a doppler online and it should be here any day. Then we can listen to our babys heatbeat whenever we want. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Well everything went really well and eveything looks good. I gained 6 pounds this trimester which is a little scary for me. I've never gained that much in such a short time before. Anyway so our next ultrasound appointment is at 20 weeks!! It seems so far away but at this rate it will be here in no time. It will be a 4D ultrasound and we'll get video of the baby moving around. We're so excited for that and hopefully find out the sex!!! What a nice birthday present that would be :)
