I love the feeling I get when I come home from church, and even though I had to fight my self out of bed to get there, I'm always grateful I went and feel ready to take on the week ahead. Lately (the last couple of months) church has been......oh whats the word... unbearable is what comes to mind. I HATE saying that but thats honestly how I feel. I come home and feel like I got NOTHING out of it and at times feel whats the point! Daxtin is at the stage where he's constantly into everything, won't sit on my lap for more than a minute, just go go go! Even though I don't feel like I'm getting anything out of going, I know that I am and that it's where I'm supposed to be with my kids, regardless of how difficult it can be sometimes. Yesterday was one of those days! Chasing Dax down the halls during sacrament, trying to keep Gray entertained but end up walking the halls with him too. Gray didn't want to go to nursery, Tried sitting down in relief society with Dax but he immediately cries. I ended up outside the church with both kids. Yesterday was a bad day at church to say the least. I was exhausted, frustrated, annoyed I was there and thinking what was the point in getting out of bed for this?!! Ugh
Cody Knew I was over whelmed so we got in the car and he turned on the radio. One of his songs were playing on the radio called "knee deep" by Zac Brown Band. Cody rolled down all the windows, turned the music up extremely loud so no one could hear each other think. He took the beach ball that just so happened to be in the car, and started tossing it around for the kids. WELL... the kids just started laughing so hard and thought it was the funnest thing in the world. I couldn't hide the huge smile that was on my face. I just sat there in that moment watching my kids throw this ball around, laughing there little bums off. It was honestly a beautiful moment and I realized I have nothing to complain about. I have a healthy, happy family, 2 precious little boys, and a husband who adores me. I wish I had a camera to capture that moment but this paragraph of that memory will suffice I guess :)
Thanks honey for that moment :) I love you xoxo
The video below is the song "knee deep" that Cody played for me. It's new so they don't have an official Video so this is what I found. If it doesn't get you into a good mood I don't know what will :)
